High-Tech Agro-Forestry Seed Production Center

QNAFOR's high-tech agro-forestry seed production center covers an area of 13ha, located in Tich Phu village, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province. With 25 technical staffs and about 40 seasonal workers, applying scientific and technical advances to seedling production by means of tissue culture technology to improve production capacity and seed quality.

Main seed production activities at the Center:

1. Producing seedlings of culture-tissued hybrid acacia varieties: BV10, BV16, and BV32, and some recently-recognized acacia hybrids (BV586, BV376, BB055, BV584, BV523, BV434, and BV350)
2. Producing potting medium, producing environmentally friendly plant nursery pots (instead of using PE pots)

Up to now, the technicians of the Center have grasped and mastered the technological process of seed production by tissue culture method. In addition, the Company has fully invested in specialized equipment and machinery, materials, and necessary tools to complete the annual plan for forestry seedling production from 500,000 seedlings to 1,000,000 seedlings/year. The output is expected to increase gradually to 5,000,000 seedlings/year by 2027, meeting the needs of people in the area for planting raw timber forests.
