- Purpose: The demand for raw wood with forest certification is increasing. For a company with a wood processing factory, the source of input materials is extremely important and essential. To solve the problem of certified wood materials, the company has proposed a plan to link with households with areas participating in FSC forest certification to concentrate available raw materials to meet raw material needs. for company. Besides, linking production with people also creates an abundant raw material market and brings value to the company as well as benefits to households participating in the link.
 

1. Perform a CCR level assessment.

- On June 14, 2022, Quang Nam Forestry Investment and Development Joint Stock Company was certified by GFA as qualified to manage and trade FSC-certified round timber with a total area of 2002.64 hectares/ 358 households in communes of Hiep Duc and Tien Phuoc districts. Specifically:

+ Tien Phuoc district has 166 participating households with an area of 709.88 hectares participating in forest certification

+ Hiep Duc district has 192 participating households with an area of 1292.76 hectares participating in forest certification
  2. Capacity building

- The company has organized 20 training classes and 1 workshop to improve capacity and expand the area for households participating in FSC forest certification in 2 districts of Tien Phuoc and Hiep Duc.
3. Expand the area participating in forest certification

- Organize area assessment in 7 communes of Bac Tra My district with 129 participating households and 567 hectares of forest certification area

- Organize seminars and meetings to introduce forest certification in Bac Tra district My.
